Seven-year scope of search: Criminal background checks are performed at the county seat of each county to be searched. Requests outside the standard seven-year scope may require additional fees and could delay turn-around time.

Cut off time: All requests (including MVR) received by dial-in or web posting must be received by 5:00 PM CST to be processed the next day. Requests received by fax or email must be received by 3:00 PM CST to be processed the next day.

Results returned: Results for dial-in clients are available for pick-up as B&B completes them. Fax results are entered into the system and faxed back ASAP.  Results sent to the website or emailed are posted at the top of each hour.  (Some states prohibit the emailing of MVR results)*

Traffic: Traffic history is not included in the normal seven (7) year search unless it is a Criminal Traffic, ex: DUI, Hit & Run, etc. To obtain traffic history please order an MVR.

Duplicates: Duplicate requests submitted will be treated as separate searches and billed accordingly.  

Disputed results: Should B&B return a clear record and the client disputes it, we will research again at no additional cost. Should B&B return a clear record once again, the client will be billed for an additional search. If there is still a dispute, we must have the alleged charge and location of arrest. The client will then be billed for an additional search of this location.

Billing: B&B invoices on the 1st of each month. Invoices are due upon receipt. Payments not received by the next billing cycle will result in holding of work for the client.

Civil: Upper and lower are included in one price as long as both records are in the same physical location.

FCRA: All requests from clients must be in accordance with the FCRA and any other applicable rule or regulation.  No information provided should be used to violate any federal, state or local law. Further information on applicable laws can be found in the B&B Quick Links.
